Common questions in Leeds
Frequently asked questions
Does the watch have reliable coverage across West Yorkshire?
Yes. 4G coverage is strong across Leeds city centre, Bradford, Wakefield, Harrogate, and most of West Yorkshire. GPS tracking works accurately outdoors in both urban and semi-rural areas including Wetherby, Pudsey, and Otley. Indoor positioning uses Wi-Fi for location estimates.
Can you deliver the watch to addresses across West Yorkshire?
We offer £1.99 next-day delivery to all West Yorkshire postcodes including LS, BD, WF, HG, and surrounding areas. Place your order before 2pm and it will be dispatched the same day.
How does this compare to Leeds City Council telecare services?
Leeds City Council offers a community alarm service with pendant alarms that work within the home. Our watch extends protection beyond the front door — it works at the shops, in the park, on the bus, and anywhere with 4G signal. Many Leeds families use both services together for comprehensive coverage.
Is the watch suitable for elderly people in rural parts of West Yorkshire?
Yes. While GPS works best outdoors with clear sky visibility, 4G coverage now extends to most of West Yorkshire including semi-rural areas around Otley, Wetherby, and the Harrogate district. The watch also stores the last known GPS position, so contacts can see the most recent location even in areas with patchy signal.
How accurate is the GPS location tracking?
Outdoors with clear sky view, GPS accuracy is typically within 5 to 15 metres. In urban areas like Leeds city centre, accuracy may vary slightly due to tall buildings. The watch also uses nearby mobile towers and Wi-Fi networks to improve location estimates indoors and in built-up areas.
Can more than one family member receive alerts?
Yes. Up to five family members can be added as emergency contacts through the companion app. All nominated contacts receive simultaneous text alerts when the SOS button is pressed or a fall is detected. The watch then calls each contact in sequence until someone answers.
Does the watch need to be paired with a smartphone to work?
No. The watch operates independently using its built-in 4G SIM card. It does not need to be paired with or kept near a smartphone. The companion app is used by family members to view location data and manage settings, but the watch itself works on its own.
What size wrists does the watch fit?
The watch comes with an adjustable silicone strap that fits wrist circumferences from approximately 14cm to 22cm, covering the vast majority of adult wrist sizes. The strap is soft, lightweight, and comfortable enough for all-day and overnight wear.
