Common questions in Bradford
Frequently asked questions
Does the pendant GPS cover Bradford and the surrounding Pennine areas?
Yes. GPS positioning works outdoors everywhere, including Bradford's urban areas and the surrounding Pennine towns of Keighley, Shipley, Bingley, and Ilkley. The 4G coverage across the Bradford district is reliable.
How quickly can the pendant reach Bradford?
£1.99 next-day delivery covers all Bradford district postcodes including BD areas. Orders placed before 2pm are dispatched the same day.
My grandmother has very limited hand strength — can she use the pendant?
Yes. The SOS button was designed for users with limited hand strength, arthritis, or tremor. It is large, raised, and requires very gentle pressure to activate. There are no other buttons or controls to worry about.
Is this pendant different from Bradford council's lifeline service?
Yes. Bradford council's lifeline pendant works at home near a base unit connected to a phone line. Our SOS Pendant uses 4G and GPS, so it works everywhere — at home, at the shops, walking in Roberts Park, or visiting Ilkley. No base unit or landline needed.
Can I shower with the pendant on?
Yes. The pendant is shower-safe and should be worn at all times including during showers. Falls are most common in the bathroom, so continuous wear is strongly recommended.
How does fall detection work on the pendant?
The pendant has built-in sensors that detect the sudden impact and orientation change of a fall. When a fall is detected, it automatically sends an SOS alert with GPS location to all nominated contacts — no button press required.
What is included in the monthly subscription?
The subscription covers the built-in SIM, 4G connectivity, GPS tracking, fall detection alerts, and companion app access for family members. No hidden fees, no setup costs, no contract.
How long does the battery last between charges?
Up to five days on a single charge. The magnetic charging dock makes recharging simple — place the pendant on the dock and it clicks into position. Low-battery alerts are sent to family members through the app.
